What We Do
Sunshine Coffee was born, raised, and roasted in Miami, Florida. Perfectly placed on our beaches, our common ground, Sunshine is a neighborhood coffee shop built to bring people together, no matter who they are or what they have. Inspired by Miami’s beautiful beaches, creative culture, and close-knit community, Sunshine is a place where everyone is greeted with warmth, treated like family, and reminded that there is always enough shine for everyone.
We serve high-quality, taste-first coffee with an emphasis on making the best iced and frozen coffees in the world, including our signature Miami Iced and Little Miracle. Our menu also features hot coffees, signature lattes, lemonades, iced teas, matchas, juices, and inventive breakfast and lunch staples made with local ingredients from South Florida farms.
At Sunshine, we celebrate the sunshine state of mind and the incredible life we all get to share here in Miami. We believe in lifting each other up because we can and because we should, one cup at a time.

Our Story
We believe in miracles. They happen every day, all around us.
Sunshine is one of those miracles. She is our daughter — the youngest in our family, who came years after her brothers River and Teddy. We were praying for her, but we weren’t expecting her. Then she showed up, and with her came more love, more blessings, more smiles. And more coffee.
Sunshine Coffee opened in September 2025. Then, just one month later, we got Lucky. Literally. Sunshine’s little brother Lucky arrived in October, and our family and our hearts got even bigger.
First we got Sunshine. Then we got Lucky.
As proud residents of Miami Beach, we created Sunshine to share the things we love most: family, creativity, and community, with the people and the city that bring us so much joy.
Here everyone is treated like family, greeted with warmth and a smile. No matter who you are or what you have, there’s always a seat, a story, and enough shine for everyone.
Sunshine Coffee exists to amplify our appreciation of the incredible life we all have in this great city, bringing our community together and lifting each other up, one cup at a time.

From boutique hotels to pop-up restaurants, to the rise of robotics, ghost kitchens, and co-working, Alan has a track record of identifying trends and using his creativity, strategy, and relationships to maximize their impact.

Gelareh Mizrahi is a globally recognized creative whose work has been sold in Barneys, Selfridges, Kith, Lane Crawford, and Net a Porter. Her creations are worn by celebrities all over the world such as Taylor Swift, Kylie Jenner, and Hailey Bieber.

Founding Family
Sunshine Coffee was created by local entrepreneur Alan Philips and his wife designer Gelareh Mizrahi. Alan & Gelareh have been proud residents of Miami Beach for over a decade, where they live with their children River, Teddy, Sunshine and Lucky. Named after their daughter Sunshine, they founded the brand as a way to share the things they love – family, creativity, and community with the people and place that has brought them so much happiness, Miami Beach, Florida.
